APPLICATION FORM TO REQUEST DUAL LANGUAGE STREET SIGNAGE

The Council is responsible for erecting dual language street signage. In Antrim and Newtownabbey we will erect street name plates in English and another language, where certain conditions are met.

In accordance with the legislation (Article 11 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Northern Ireland) Order 1995 ) a new street name(s) must be expressed in English and may, in addition, be expressed in a language other than English. In exercising these powers, the Council is required to have consideration to the views expressed by the occupiers of premises in that street.

In order that the Council may fulfil its responsibility under the above legislation, you are requested to complete the following application and in addition submit a valid signed petition.
