Draft Local Biodiversity Action Plan 2021 - 2026
Overview
Council is pleased to announce that we have drafted up our new Local Biodiversity Action Plan for the next 5 years. The plan highlights key actions and partnerships to help restore, enhance and protect key habitats and species found within our Council area.
It is the duty of us all to protect this biodiversity for current and future generations, and contributions made at a local level will help to improve biodiversity at a national level. Many habitats managed for biodiversity also provide us with relaxing and picturesque places to relax or exercise.
The purpose of this public consultation is to gather views from our local residents and partners on key questions, which will help us ensure that our action plan is all-encompassing and will have a positive impact on our local biodiversity in the years to come.
The feedback and comments from the survey will be reviewed and taken into consideration as we prepare the final version of the Local Biodiversity Action Plan, which we will aim to publish in early 2022.
