Why your views matter

We are pleased to introduce our Corporate Improvement Plan for 2020-21, detailing the changes that we intend to make to our services in the year ahead.

This Plan supports the vision of the organisation and maintains our commitment to become a progressive, smart and prosperous Borough. We will continue to be inspired  and driven by the ambition of our people to make this a reality. The Council is committed to improving the quality of life and environment for everyone who lives, invests, works and visits our Borough.

We want to put our residents at the heart of everything we do and this will be reflected in some changes in the services we provide to you. This Plan has been produced in response to your feedback and as a result, we will continue to grow the usage of our leisure centres to support a fitter and healthier population, increase our recycling levels and improve the cleanliness and appearance of the Borough.  These however, are likely to be amended to reflect the changes to service delivery as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 emergency.

The successful delivery of this Plan will involve working with a wide range of partners and stakeholders.

During this twelve week consultation period we want you to provide us with your opinon on the priorities which we have identified in this Plan.

A self-assessment report will be published by 30th September 2021 outlining how we have performed. Your comments and feedback would be appreciated on our proposed plan.
