EmpowerHer Funding Applications
Overview
EmpowerHER is a participatory budgeting initiative, which means that local people decide how public funds are used in their area.
Constituted groups can apply for funding for a project which improves women’s health, in areas such as maternity, parenting, menopause, physical and mental wellbeing, and domestic abuse issues. We welcome any new or innovative ideas you may have to address these areas.
Applicants are required to submit a short video outlining the details of their proposal as part of their application. All applicants that successfully meet the funding criteria will have their video hosted on the Council website from where the community can view the proposals and vote for the activities they wish to see delivered in the community.
Ten projects will be funded. The number one preference (voted by the community) in each DEA (Antrim, Airport, Dunsilly, Ballyclare, Glengormley, Macedon and Threemilewater - 7 projects in total) as will the three best placed runners up (3 in total).
The application process opens on 7 November 2024 and closes on 24 November 2024. Click on "Online Survey" below to begin
