Overview

This Leisure Strategy 2017-2030 sets out the ‘big picture’ for how we will approach the provision and delivery of leisure over the next thirteen years.   As a Council we want to align the services we deliver to the needs of our residents and increase access to opportunities regardless of age or income.  Underlining all of this are, the Council’s Corporate and Community Plan.   We recognise the valuable social, health and economic benefits the provision of leisure facilities and opportunities can create for our communities, alongside an improved quality of life. We also recognise the financial and environmental pressures and ensuring we are delivering services efficiently for the ratepayer. 

The proposed vision guiding the delivery of our Draft Leisure Strategy 2017-2030 is:
