EmpowerHer Funding Applications

Application Criteria

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
• Only Constituted Groups can apply.
• Activity/project must be aimed at improving women’s health.
• The project/activity must be safe, legal and not promote any political message.
• The activity must be fully delivered between 13^th January and 31^st March 2025.
• Applicants and participants must reside within the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area.
• Activities/projects must take place within the Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council area.
• Only one application can be submitted per group.
• Where appropriate relevant insurance and qualifications must be in place – either for activities or instructors.
• Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding, either through their own policy or by complying with the Council's child and adult safeguarding policy and procedures.
• Details of a current bank account in the constituted group’s name must be supplied.
• If successful, applicants agree to ANBC officers visiting the activity/project to validate the activity/project/funding.
• Successful applicants will be required to participate in Council promotional activities, including social media and Celebration Event.
• Applicants agree to complete a post activity evaluation.
• Applicants must submit a short video (max 1 ½ minutes) illustrating their idea/initiative once their application has been accepted.

Video Criteria

Each application must be accompanied by a video of up to 90 seconds, which will outline the details of the proposal. For further information on how to make your video, please see below.

• State the group name
• Be a maximum of 90 seconds
• Recorded in landscape mode
• Should be creative and fun
• Must not contain inappropriate language
• Have consent from anyone appearing in the video
• Have clear audio
• Must outline what the project is, and what it hopes to achieve

• You do not need to log in or create an account.
• Simply click on Add files on the left hand of the screen.

• Your email 
• Title EMPOWERHER & The Name of your group
• Message Your name and any other notes
• Then click on Transfer

You will receive a confirmation email that it has been sent and when we receive it.
